The City of Omak Public Works Department is continuously working to upgrade and maintain the streets, water systems, sewer lines, parks, Airport, and water treatment facilities for The City of Omak. We understand this can have an impact on everyday living. Below is a list of current projects that are approved and scheduled to begin or are in progress.Click the links to find the jobs projected schedule. The schedules will be updated if changes occur. The listed schedules are projections and because of the nature of construction, may have to be changed or postponed.
A new Water Treatment Plant will be constructed in Julia Maley Park. (click here) for more details and timeline.
The City of Omak will be Installing new Playground equipment in Eastside and Kiwanis Parks. For details on the new equipment and timelines (click here)
In 2024 the City of Omak installed a new sewer line, boring it under the Okanogan River. This Spring the City will install a Lift Station in the West side gravel area of Eastside Park. The Lift Station will replace the temporary Pumps the City has been using. Construction has started for this project.
Scheduled for Summer of 2025. This project will include some street work, some sidewalk installations and Storm Drain work. For more information and timelines (click here)

The Rotary Club will be transform the old skate park in Eastrside Park into a Pickleball Court. The project will include fixing the fence and resurfacing the pad. The project is scheduled for Late Spring Early Summer of 2025.
Slated for construction in 2026 this project is being done by Washington State DOT. For more information on the project (click here)
