CORE Program

The Omak Police Department was the recipient  of grant funding through Beacon Health Options, Inc. to create and pilot a new co-responder program. 

The CORE Program (Community-Outreach-Response-Engagement) consists of an Outreach Specialist to respond with law enforcement to behavioral and social crises in an effort to connect individuals to appropriate community resources and prevent future crises. Our CORE Outreach Specialist/ Co-Responder was hired on May 2, 2022 and has been working diligently to develop program policies and protocol for successful implementation of this program.
