CAMP HOST CONTRACT POSITION

The City of Omak is excited to announce a Contract Camp Host position for the upcoming 2024 season!  If you’re a friendly and responsible individual with a passion for camping and community, we invite you to join our team.

Position:                      Carl Precht RV Park Contracted Camp Host
Location:                     725 E Central Avenue, Omak, Washington
Season:                       April 2024 – October 2024
Compensation:          Camping Space with Full Hook-Ups and $900/month
Resume Due Date:     This contract position is open until filled        

Responsibilities:
1. Assist Campers: Provide friendly assistance with online check-ins, offering information about park facilities, rules, and local information.

2. Maintenance: Touch up campground restrooms/showers and pick-up to ensure a positive camping experience

3. Security: May be responsible for locking the bathroom/shower facility in the evenings, contributing to the safety of our campers. Provide monthly reports about park use and concerns.

4. Cash-Free Operation: No cash handling is required; campers must utilize online payment methods for reservations and fees.

5. Flexible Schedule: Camp Host(s) have the flexibility to set their own schedules, ensuring availability during peak days and hours. The host(s) is not required to be onsite August 4^TH- August 11^th during our annual Omak Stampede event.  

6. Personal Camper: Camp Hosts are required to have their own camper, enhancing your camping experience in our location.

Perks:
Free camping space: Enjoy a complimentary camping space with full hook-ups within our RV park throughout the contract period.  The space includes water, sewer, garbage, WiFi and security services.

Monthly Stipend: Receive a monthly stipend of $900 as compensation for your dedicated services.

Location: The Carl Precht Memorial RV Park is nestled in a hundred-acre city park along the Okanogan River, providing a beautiful environment.  The Eastside Park offers amenities such as basketball, a seasonal swimming pool, soccer and basketball fields, and a half mile walking path within the park.

Nearby Attractions: Explore the hub of Okanogan County in downtown Omak, offering local dining, quaint shops, ice cream shops, espresso stands and movie theaters. Omak is also bustling in the north end with fast food, bowling and, big box stores.

Outdoor Activities abound in the Okanogan Valley. If fishing, kayaking, boating, hiking, rock hounding and more interest you, this may be the perfect opportunity.  In addition, the Canadian Border is also a short forty-five-minute drive from Omak. 

Requirements:
-Must be 21 years of age or older
-Must pass a criminal background check
-Must provide RV for your personal living space
-Friendly and approachable demeanor
-Ability to follow campground rules and guidelines
-Availability during peak days and hours
-Basic Computer skills for online check-in assistance
