Spring Cleanup April 12th

The City of Omak in conjunction with Sunrise Disposal will be offering our Annual Spring Cleanup Event on Saturday, April 12th.  This is a FREE event with curbside pick up and is for natural vegetation only.  

Residents of Omak will be able to dispose of their yard waste and leaves without charge by bagging the debris in PAPER BAGS and placing it where their garbage is normally picked up on Friday night, April 11th, 2025 for Sunrise pickup the morning of April 12th.

Residents of the City of Omak may obtain 10 free paper yard bags at City Hall, 2 N Ash Street.  The bags will be available Monday, March 17th.  There will be no limit on the number of paper yard bags or bundles you may put out for Sunrise Disposal to pickup.  Please DO NOT secure the paper bags with tape.

PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP THIS YEAR.

Acceptable yard waste includes leaves, grass clippings, weeds, and trimmings. Small tree branches and/or limbs (up to 3 inches in diameter and 4 feet long) will be accepted but must be securely tied in bundles with twine to facilitate handling by the crews.  The total weight of any single bag or bundle of branches/limes must be less than 60 pounds. 

This clean-up day DOES NOT INCLUDE disposal of fence posts, boards, plywood, tires, any plastic or metal, large branches or tree stumps, hazardous waste (paint, toxic cleaner, insecticides, herbicides or chemicals) used oil or ANY GARBAGE THAT IS NOT NATURAL VEGETATION.

The City Council, Mayor and Staff are please to be able to offer this opportunity without charge to our residents to conveniently dispose of the debris from their yard.
