Dalton Klessig Park

The City of Omak owns the property for the Dalton Klessig Memorial Park.  Elizabeth Felgenhauer gave the land and a cash donation to the City in memory of her parents and grandparents.  Interested citizens spearheaded this new park.  This park is located west of the Wenatchee Valley Medical Clinic in north Omak.  The city and volunteers began construction of the park in 2002 with installation of electricty, irrigation system, landscaping and an asphalt-walking trail.

Marilyn Fillis began a tradition
through the purchase of a concrete
bench for the park in memory of two
friends.  The park now has five benches installed.  The benches have inscriptions on them and are made by a local business, Concrete Creations.

The newest addition to the Dalton Klessig Park is a gazebo.  The gazebo was purchased with the continued donations from contributors.  The gazebo was installed by the Omak City Crew.  In the spring the copper hummingbird weather vane will be mounted on top of the gazebo and lighting and electrical fixtures will be completed.

Fund raising is continuing for the new Dalton Klessig Memorial Park in North Omak.  Many citizens are donating in memory of loved ones.  If you are interested in a memorial or a donation to the park, please contact Omak City Hall 509-826-1170.
