Composted Soil Amendment - OSCA

 

Omak Composted Soil Amendment (OCSA) is produced at the Omak Sewer Treatment Facility 635 South Fir and is available for self-hauling.  The product is a composted soil amendment made from sewer biosolids and wood waste.  The produce is not a fertilizer and the City of Omak does not claim the product's capability to stimulate plant growth.  Laboratory analysis of product is available upon request from the Wastewater Treatment Plant at 509-826-2383

 

To Purchase OCSA:
You must stop by City Hall located at 2 North Ash and pay for the desired amount of OCSA and complete the application. You will then  need to contact the Waste Water Treatment Plant at 826-2383 to schedule a pick-up time.

The cost for OCSA is as follows:
Screened Product $10.00 per cubic yard   
Screened Product $3.00 per thirty-three (33) gallon                   
  Unscreened Product $15.00 per cubic yard

The following regulations apply to the purchase of the compost:

  • This product is not for human or animal consumption.

  •  Product available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Customers must provide their own container.

  • Customers are required to provide the physical address where the compost will be used.

  • Pickup and trailer loads must be covered before leaving the Plant property.

  • The product is a composted soil amendment made from biosolids and woodwaste, not perceived to be a fertilizer, and no claim is made for its capability to stimulate plant growth.

  • Laboratory analysis of product is available upon request at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

  • This product may not be transported outside the State of Washington.
